150 g golden syrup
100 ml water
0.5 tsp vinegar

Wash the apples thoroughly to remove any wax coating. Dry them completely and insert a wooden stick or skewer into the top of each apple.

In the metal bowl of your Cook Expert, add the sugar, butter, golden syrup, vinegar and water. Run EXPERT 10:00/speed 3/100°C.

After 10 minutes, Run EXPERT 20:00/speed 3/140°C. It will turn a rich golden brown.

If you want to add food colouring, do so in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Once the toffee is ready, carefully dip each apple into the mixture, tilting the pan to coat the apple evenly.

Allow any excess toffee to drip off before placing the apple on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Let the toffee apples cool and harden completely before serving.
